Creating An OS

It's easy to get started using MakerOS for your maker business! If you'd like to go through this process on your own, read on, but if you're interested in taking advantage of our free Launch Assistance, email to get more information on how to get started.

Begin by clicking here and you'll be brought to a form that looks something like this:


Here you'll enter your name (not your business' name, but yours), the email address you'd like to be linked primarily to your OS, and a password. Passwords must be longer than six characters, and are case sensitive.

Below that is where you'll enter your business' name and industry. Your industry information is collected to give us a better idea of who is using MakerOS so that we can keep you in mind when updating and adding features - we will not share that information with others without your consent.

Last up is the public URL you'll use for your business. This cannot be edited later so make sure that you choose a name you're happy with your customers seeing. We recommend using the name of your business, so if you work for "Businessman Industries" you can enter that into that bottom field. After it's all filled out it should look like this:

Be sure to read the services agreement before you proceed - this is the agreement between you/your business and MakerOS. Once complete, click "Create Account" and log in for the first time.

If you've been anywhere on the internet, you've likely seen a login page before. You can access this page at any time by going to your unique subdomain (i.e. and use the email address and password you signed up with to gain access to your OS.

Your coworkers and customers can also click "Create Account" from this page to sign up for their own account within your OS.
